In the section "Archives introduce themselves" we present the various data providers of the Archivportal-D and link to their holdings. We are pleased that the Greven City Archive is included!
The municipal archive in Greven was established in 1989 as a municipal archive according to modern standards in the Greven town hall and today consists of three storerooms, a map room with an archive library and a visitor and office room in the basement of the town hall. Previously, there were only temporary solutions. Since then, the city archive has offered opportunities for family and local history researchers, schoolchildren, students, scientific researchers, as well as anyone interested in researching and viewing documents on site. In addition, the City Archive conducts public relations and historical education work. The archival educational offers are used by elementary school as well as by the various secondary schools in Greven.
